用来给初学者熟悉VC++图形编程很不错，我当初学MFC的时候就是照着这本书上手的。但作为一个GIS系统来说缺少一些必要的 要素，比如大数据量的管理、空间索引、符号化、投影等等等等等。以现在的眼光看来整个系统的架构设计也不是太好。
这本书再版后改名为《矢量图形系统开发与编程》，内容变化不大("using Visual C development of GIS systems" supporting code. MFC
（1）定义一个抽象基类Shape,同它派生出5个类：圆、正方形、矩形、梯形、三角形。
（2）利用虚函数计算几种图形面积。
（3）演示构造函数、复制构造函数、析构函数的作用和调用顺序
（4）用类模板具体实现。
（5）利用MFC类库在图形用户界面上绘制及修改这些图形，采用对话框输入输出图形的基本属性，或者利用运算符重载输入输出图形的基本属性。
（6）用文件保存图形信息，且能够从文件中读取并作相应处理。
