ADIAL Basis Function (RBF) networks were introduced
into the neural network literature by Broomhead and
Lowe [1], which are motivated by observation on the local
response in biologic neurons. Due to their better
approximation capabilities, simpler network structures and
faster learning algorithms, RBF networks have been widely applied in many science and engineering fields. RBF network is three layers feedback network, where each hidden unit implements a radial activation function and each output unit implements a weighted sum of hidden units’ outputs.

说明： AC induction motors are the most common motors used in industrial motion control systems, as well as in main powered home appliances. Simple and rugged design, low-cost, low maintenance and direct connection to an AC power source are the main advantages of AC induction motors. The speed control of these motors has been of great importance in order to run the motors at desired speeds. Among the various methods of speed control V/F control of induction motor is the most efficient one, in which V/F ratio is kept constant. In this project we studied about this V/F control of an induction motor and simulated it in the matlab Simulink and controlled the torque and speed of induction motor. This technology continued to be taken up further improvements all over the world till very recently.
