运动检测是对象的检测在相对于对象的环境中相对于其环境或改变位置的变化过程。运动检测可以通过机械和电子两种方法。当运动检测通过自然生物体来完成的时它被称为运动知觉。运动可以通过检测：

光学 （视频和照相机系统）
无线电频率能量 （雷达、 微波和层析
