The meansandvariancesoflocalintensitiesareconsideredasspatiallyvarying
functionstohandleintensityinhomogeneitiesandnoiseofspatiallyvaryingstrength
(e.g. multiplicativenoise).Inaddition,ourmodelisabletodistinguishregionswith
similarintensitymeansbutdifferentvariances.Thisisdemonstratedbyapplyingour
methodonnoisyandtextureimagesinwhichthetexturepatternsofdifferentregions
