提出了采用Java语言设计的即时通信系统的设计问题，以更好地满足人们的在线聊天和完全实现两台计算机之间点对点的信息交换需求。当前的网络是快速发展的结果。本文共分为七个部分。第一部分简单分析了即时通讯系统开发的可行性，并重点对技术可行性（选用Java）做了详细的分析；第二部分利用数据流图和数据字典对系统的功能和性能进行了详细的需求分析，建立了系统的逻辑结构；用第三部分的结构方案和层次化的输入输出处理方案来实现
