C-MEX函数是基于C语言编写的C与matlab接口函数，是matlab应用程序接口的一个重要组成部分。通过它不但可以将现有的C语言编写的程序轻松地引入到matlab环境中使用，避免了重复的程序设计，而且可以使用C语言为matlab定制用于特定目的的函数(如为了保护算法设计等)，
