The relationshipbetween error of single point positioning and geometry dilution of positioning(GDOP) is analysed. The worse situation in which only 4 pesudoranges are used in positioning is introduced. The relation contour between plane error of positioning and GDOP is given. Also studied is the correlation between positioning accuracy and GDOP.
